Armani Artspace Mentorship
A hands-on, face-to-face tattoo mentorship for serious artists ready to move forward.
Armani Art Space offers intensive half-day and full-day mentorship sessions for artists who want practical, professional guidance in a real studio environment.
This is not an apprenticeship. It is a focused, no-nonsense learning experience designed for people who are ready to build skills, refine their practice, receive honest feedback, and work more confidently with professional supervision.
Sessions are delivered in person at Armani Art Space and include access to studio materials, equipment, professional insight, direct critique, practical demonstrations, and tailored guidance based on your current skill level and goals.
Whether you are transitioning from cosmetic tattooing into body-art tattooing, already tattooing and need support in specific areas, or are an established artist wanting to apply your artistic practice to tattooing, this mentorship is designed to meet you where you are.
Who It’s For
This program may suit:
Cosmetic tattoo artists wanting to expand into body-art tattooing.
Emerging tattoo artists who need more one-on-one guidance, supervision, and constructive critique.
Tattoo artists who want support in a particular area, such as machine handling, design translation, line work, shading, colour, composition, placement, client consultation, or professional workflow.
Traditional and contemporary artists who are serious about transitioning their creative practice into tattooing.
Illustrators, painters, graphic artists, sculptors, designers, and other visual artists with a mature portfolio and a genuine commitment to learning the craft.
Artists who are ready to work hands-on and want a more direct, accelerated learning environment than a conventional apprenticeship pathway.
What the Mentorship can include.
Each session is personalised around the participant’s experience, goals, strengths, and areas requiring development.
Depending on the session, mentorship may include:
One-to-one, face-to-face guidance in a professional studio setting.
Hands-on practice using studio equipment and materials.
Machine setup, handling, technique, and workflow guidance.
Direct critique of artwork, designs, portfolio material, and tattoo concepts.
Guidance on adapting illustration or fine-art skills for tattooing.
Design development, tattoo composition, placement, scale, and flow on the body.
Practical discussion of line work, shading, black and grey, colour, texture, and visual readability.
Tattoo design preparation and stencil planning.
Studio etiquette, client communication, consultation, professionalism, and artistic development.
Honest feedback on readiness, next steps, and areas to strengthen.
Insight and guidance from experienced professional tattoo artists and practising artists.
The goal is not simply to “have a go.” It is to work deliberately, build technical awareness, understand professional expectations, and make meaningful progress in your practice.
Supervised Client Tattoo Sessions
For artists who are already tattooing, Armani Art Space can offer the option of bringing in a client for a supervised tattoo session.
This is a hands-on opportunity to complete a tattoo in a professional studio environment while receiving direct, real-time mentorship throughout the process. You will work on your own client, using your own artistic judgement and developing skills, while having experienced guidance available when you need it.
Support may be provided before, during, and after the tattoo, from refining the design and discussing placement through to technique, workflow, client communication, and review of the completed piece.
This option is intended for artists who already have foundational tattooing experience and are ready to benefit from practical supervision in a live client setting. It is not designed as a first-time tattooing experience.

Day sessions: 9am to 5pm with 2×15min and 1×30min breaks. $1500
